You are reading Talus 2 - Naming Conventions

  • ResRefs All area resrefs should begin with your initials.

ALL things that are added to the module MUST follow this standard format.

This format should be: (2-3 letters of initials)_(type of object)_(description)

Types of Objects

  • i - item
  • c - creature
  • d - dialog
  • a - area
  • s - script
  • e - encounter
  • p - placeable

Description - this should be a short descriptive bit on the end. Note there is a maximum of 16 letters total, so you should take that into account.

so for my "Alerra - East" area, the name I would initially give the area during creation would be: ld_a_alr_east
